Professor Nguyen Xuan Mung, of the Department of Aerospace Engineering, Sejong University, is a scholar who has spent more than a decade researching and teaching in Korea. He recently received Korean citizenship through the Special Naturalization Program for Outstanding Talents administered by the Ministry of Justice .
According to Chosun , this program grants Korean citizenship to individuals who excel in the fields of science , art, sports and research, with simpler requirements than regular naturalization. Allowing multiple citizenships is to support the world's leading researchers to settle in Korea and make long-term contributions to the country's development.
“Naturalization is not simply about receiving citizenship. It also symbolizes my deep connection with Korea - my second homeland, as well as recognition for the efforts and challenges I have gone through over the years,” said Professor Nguyen Xuan Mung.
