Cooking knowledge in Bat Trang is not only for "delicious food", but also shows the dignity, position and understanding of family and clan etiquette, and is a manifestation of culture, rituals and social norms in the local community.

Bat Trang feasts are often held during holidays, weddings, family anniversaries, village festivals, etc. Each feast shows the thoughtfulness, knowledge and status of the host. The knowledge of cooking is passed down from generation to generation through the form of “learning by doing”, mainly in families and especially through the hands of women.

In particular, cooking and serving utensils often use Bat Trang ceramic products, creating a unique connection between cuisine and traditional craft: There is a division of labor in the cooking ward with an organizational process, folk slogans: "Boil the chicken without boiling, the clear soup is sweet", "A skillful feast is better than a full feast"..., along with a sense of community and high symbolism in each dish.

Bat Trang's culinary knowledge is closely linked to the more than 500-year history of the pottery village, a vivid expression of ritual culture and community spirit. A tray of food is not only a dish, but also an art of culinary organization, reflecting the aesthetics, philosophy of yin-yang, and the five elements in Vietnamese life. Bat Trang's dishes are a harmony between rusticity and sophistication, aiming for balance, simplicity, both good for health and rich in symbolism, containing profound culinary knowledge...
