In this match, coach Dinh Hong Vinh sent Trung Kien to the field as the main goalkeeper while two attacking players, Dinh Bac and Viktor Le, were also placed in the starting lineup with the expectation of increasing their ability to create breakthroughs.

U22 Uzbekistan was the better team when they started the game by pressing from the very first minutes. The Central Asian team effectively used their speed and strength on both flanks to create continuous pressure. From a quick attack, they quickly opened the score, taking a big advantage and forcing U22 Vietnam to concentrate on finding an equalizer.

After conceding the goal, coach Dinh Hong Vinh’s players gradually became more stable. Dinh Bac and Viktor Le both had notable shots but were not sharp enough to defeat Uzbekistan’s well-organized defense.

In the second half, U22 Vietnam played more proactively, increased the speed and attacked strongly in both the middle and the wings. Dinh Bac continued to be the most active player, launching a number of dangerous shots but lacking coolness at the decisive moment.

The most unfortunate chance belonged to Ngoc My at the end of the match, when he headed the ball against the crossbar and then finished in a favorable position but could not convert. Meanwhile, Uzbekistan mainly retreated to defend after scoring.

In the previous match, U22 Vietnam won 1-0 against host U22 China. Therefore, on the Panda Cup 2025 rankings, U22 Vietnam is still temporarily ranked second with 3 points after 2 matches, equal to U23 Uzbekistan's score, but ranked higher because U22 Uzbekistan has a worse goal difference than U22 Vietnam (-1 compared to 0). In the first match, while U22 Vietnam won U22 China 1-0, U22 Uzbekistan lost to U22 Korea (0-2). With today's minimal victory, U22 Uzbekistan will have an advantage when they only have to meet the weakest team, U22 China, in the final match, while U22 Vietnam has to meet the strongest opponent in the group - U22 Korea.

In the final match taking place on November 18, coach Dinh Hong Vinh and his team will face U22 Korea.
