After a 0-2 defeat in the opening match against South Korea and being the team that was rated higher, it was not surprising that U22 Uzbekistan entered the match with determination, attacking from the beginning of the match.

After just four minutes, from a cross from the right side of Karimov Behruzion, Saidkhon rushed in and finished close to the goal, opening the score for the Central Asian team. After scoring, Uzbekistan showed their ability to hold the ball firmly and compete more strongly, creating continuous pressure on the U22 Vietnam field.

Dinh Bac had a chance to score but he did not execute it well. In the 10th minute, when a wrong pass back from an Uzbekistan defender put the ball in front of the goal, but Dinh Bac could not keep up to take advantage. It was not until the 23rd minute that U22 Vietnam had their first shot, but Dinh Bac's effort from the left wing was blocked by the opponent's defender.

At the end of the first half, Dinh Bac had two more chances but failed to capitalize on them. First was a shot that missed the post in the 41st minute, then a chance from a jumbled ball in the penalty area, but not dangerous enough to beat the opposing team's goalkeeper.

Young players like Trung Kien and Minh Phuc tried to show themselves, but could not beat the opposing goalkeeper.

In the opposite direction, Uzbekistan counterattacked quickly and almost increased the score but Trung Kien promptly closed the angle to block.

In the final minutes, U22 Vietnam accelerated strongly. In the 80th minute, Dinh Bac and Van Truong left the field, giving way to Tuan Phong and Ngoc My, the changes immediately helped the attack front improve significantly.

In the 89th minute, Ngoc My coordinated well in the penalty area before finishing in a favorable position, but the ball unfortunately went over the bar after Thanh Nhan's touch. In the 90+3 minute, Ngoc My continued to make the Uzbekistan goal shake with a header that hit the crossbar, much to the regret of the whole team.
