Serious landslides deform the road surface on National Highway 24 through Mang Den

On the morning of November 15, at Km112+200 on National Highway 24 (through Mang Den Commune, Quang Ngai Province), a large landslide occurred, causing the road surface to rise about 1 meter and deform for nearly 100 meters. In addition, the embankment was also displaced, posing a potential risk to traffic safety.

Mr. Pham Van Thang, Chairman of Mang Den Commune People's Committee, said that the landslide on National Highway 24 appeared on the evening of November 14. This road section is managed by the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province. Currently, the road is only able to accommodate vehicles on half of the road surface. The authorities have placed warning signs and instructed drivers to slow down when passing through dangerous areas.

According to the Department of Construction of Quang Ngai province, the unit is coordinating with local authorities and relevant agencies to assess the current situation, determine the cause and develop a plan to handle and repair the damage at the landslide site to ensure safety for people and vehicles.
