
On the morning of November 15, the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting warned that from November 16 to 18, the South will have moderate rain and thunderstorms, locally heavy to very heavy rain of 50-100mm, in some places over 150mm.
However, the heavy rain in the coming days will be concentrated in the Central region, divided into many stages. Specifically, on November 15, rain will be concentrated in the area from Ha Tinh to Da Nang (rain 10-30mm, some places will have heavy rain over 50mm).
From the night of November 15 to the night of November 16, the area from South Quang Tri to Da Nang, the eastern part of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa will have heavy to very heavy rain, rainfall of 100-200mm, locally over 300mm.
At the same time, the area from Ha Tinh to Northern Quang Tri has 60-100mm of rain, locally over 200mm. Meanwhile, the western area of the provinces from Quang Ngai to Dak Lak has 30-60mm of rain, locally over 120mm.
Then, from November 17 to the night of November 18, the Hue and Da Nang areas, the eastern part of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces will have heavy to very heavy rain, with rainfall of 200-450mm, locally over 550mm.

At the same time, the area from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri, the eastern part of Dak Lak and Khanh Hoa provinces had 100-250mm of rain, locally over 350mm. The western part of Quang Ngai to Dak Lak provinces had 40-80mm of rain, locally over 150mm.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, the total rainfall for the entire period (from today to November 18) in the Hue, Da Nang areas, the East of Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces: 300-600mm/period, locally over 800mm/period. The area from Ha Tinh to Quang Tri, the East of Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa: 150-350mm/period, locally over 500mm/period. The West of Quang Ngai province to the West of Dak Lak province: 70-150mm/period.
From November 19, widespread heavy rain continued to occur in the Da Nang area and provinces from Quang Ngai to Khanh Hoa.
To proactively respond to this heavy rain, on November 13 and 14, the National Civil Defense Steering Committee continuously sent dispatches and telegrams to the provinces in the center of heavy rain, requesting the implementation of a number of response tasks, including some contents such as evacuating people to safe places, allowing students to stay home from school, taking precautions against landslides and flash floods, ensuring the safety of dams, and being ready for "4 on-site"...
