FPT granted US patent for technology to detect abnormal sounds

Thanks to its novelty and high applicability, the breakthrough neural network technology in FPT's abnormal sound detection system has been patented in the US, affirming its commitment to pioneering AI innovation and contributing to enhancing Vietnam's position on the global AI map.

This AI model helps businesses, especially in the manufacturing sector, solve a key challenge in industrial maintenance and sound monitoring. The system can signal equipment failures, operational errors, or security risks by recognizing unusual audio patterns. Even in noisy environments, the technology still allows for the detection of abnormalities by applying a well-trained encoder-decoder neural network structure.

This advanced AI model has been integrated by FPT into the Intelligent Inspection SoundAI solution deployed for customers in the manufacturing and automotive sectors. With the ability to detect abnormal sounds with up to 95% accuracy, SoundAI helps businesses proactively maintain equipment and check product quality, reduce dependence on manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
