According to the school's principal, the establishment of two more schools aims to complete the strategy and goal of transforming the governance model from a "university" to a multi-disciplinary, multi-field "university".
In his direction to the school this afternoon, Mr. Do Van Chien, Politburo member and Permanent Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, said that in the future, the school will be a creative, humane and integrated "university" with many member schools.
“If we don’t start, when will we reach our destination? Starting now may be difficult and many people doubt its feasibility, but let’s look back 40 years ago, we were the poorest country in the world and didn’t have enough to eat.
After 40 years of renovation, we not only have enough food but also export millions of tons of food to the world," said Mr. Do Van Chien.
Sending a message to schools, the Standing Vice President of the National Assembly said that, in the new situation, each teacher needs to be a pioneer in innovating teaching methods.
Schools must innovate their training programs, ensuring that theoretical training is closely linked to practical production, and that new problems arising from practice are solved.

"In particular, the school must promote internationalization in both directions, linking international training and sending teachers abroad. We cannot live alone in today's global world," he said.
Faced with the development of technology, he asked the school to be a pioneer in digital transformation and training so that graduates can respond to the digital space; and to raise the level of scientific research.
Schools need to build a network of entrepreneurs to survey practices, in order to adjust methods and programs accordingly.
In particular, he also suggested that the school pay attention to mountainous and disadvantaged areas, and consider accepting ethnic minority students from preparatory schools for training.
Currently, the country has 11 universities including: Hanoi National University, Ho Chi Minh City National University, Thai Nguyen University, Hue University, Da Nang University, Hanoi University of Technology, Ho Chi Minh City University of Economics, Duy Tan University, National Economics University, Can Tho University and Phenikaa University.
