The program aims to recognize organizations and individuals who have made practical contributions to innovation and application of digital technology, contributing to promoting digital transformation in education .

In his opening speech, Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, emphasized that the strong development of artificial intelligence, new-generation AI models, open data and digital simulation technologies are reshaping the way knowledge is created and disseminated. Education is entering a new phase, requiring the ability to master knowledge in a digital way. Two Resolutions of the Politburo , Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW in 2024 on breakthroughs in science, technology, innovation and national digital transformation and Resolution No. 71-NQ/TW in 2025 on breakthroughs in education and training development, have established strategic directions for this process.
According to Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, the Vietnam Edtech Forum and SEI Awards are a convergence of science, technology, education and training, promoting the application of technological solutions in teaching and learning. Voting and honoring initiatives helps evaluate the effectiveness of digital transformation in educational institutions, while creating a space for units to exchange, share experiences, connect resources and develop smart education models.

The Organizing Committee said that after two months of implementation, the program received more than 200 applications and selected 91 units to be honored in 3 categories: Educational Environment of the Year, Educational Innovation of the Year and Educational Influence of the Year. These are highly applicable initiatives, making practical contributions to innovation and application of digital technology in teaching.
According to Dr. Phan Xuan Dung, the honored initiatives are an important practical basis for science and technology activities in education to move to the standardization, systemization and optimization stage, meeting the requirements of digital transformation in the spirit of Resolution 57 and Resolution 71 of the Politburo.

The Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations will continue to coordinate with ministries, branches, localities and the science and technology community, promote policy feedback, connect creative resources, and accompany schools and businesses in the process of digital transformation of education.
At the ceremony, the Organizing Committee awarded certificates to organizations, businesses and educational institutions with outstanding initiatives. At the same time, the participation of accompanying units, the Jury and professional support organizations contributed to ensuring the quality of appraisal and selection of initiatives.
