Strong cold air began to affect the weather in the North from the night of November 17.

According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on November 16, the strong cold air mass is continuing to move south.

By November 17, the cold air mass will affect the Northeast and North Central regions, then affect the Northwest and North Central regions. On land, strong northeast winds will be level 3-4, and coastal areas will be level 4-5.

From November 17 to 18, in the Northern region there will be rain, showers and thunderstorms in some places.

From the night of November 17, the weather in the North and North Central regions will turn cold, with some places in the high mountains of the North experiencing severe cold. The lowest temperature during this cold spell in the North and North Central regions will generally be between 12 and 15 degrees Celsius, and some places in the high mountains will be below 10 degrees Celsius.

Hanoi area from November 17 - 18 will have rain, showers. From the night of November 17, the weather will turn cold. The lowest temperature is commonly from 13 - 15 degrees Celsius.

From the evening and night of November 17, in the Gulf of Tonkin, the northeast wind gradually increased to level 7, sometimes level 8, gusting to level 9, rough seas, waves 3.0-5.0m high.

In the North East Sea, the northeast wind gradually increases to level 7 - 8, gusting to level 9 - 10, rough seas, waves 4.0 - 6.0m high.

From November 18, the northeast wind in the area from Quang Tri to Quang Ngai will gradually increase to level 6, sometimes level 7, gusting to level 8-9, rough seas, waves from 4.0 - 6.0m high.
