On November 15, An Hai Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Co., Ltd. coordinated with An Hai Ward People's Committee to clear constructions and structures encroaching on the protection corridor of the irrigation works on An Kim Hai canal from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Ton Duc Thang Street - old An Dong market.

This is a canal with many cases of violations of the protection corridor of irrigation works such as: arbitrarily installing iron frames for roofing, corrugated iron roofs, slate roofs, flower trellises, advertising billboards, etc. Some houses also occupy the traffic corridor, causing difficulties for people to travel.

On November 15, the units completed clearing more than 70 violations, including nearly 30 households with corrugated iron or slate roofs, and 40 households with umbrellas and tarpaulins encroaching on the protection corridor of irrigation works and traffic corridors.

An Kim Hai Canal, from Nguyen Van Linh Street to Ton Duc Thang Street - An Dong Market, is 400 m long, densely populated with many businesses and traders, and often causes traffic jams, affecting the urban beauty.

In 2014, the canal was invested in renovating the embankments on both sides, combined with dredging and clearing illegal constructions, ensuring environmental sanitation, and returning ventilation to the area.
