Landslide 'attack', authorities and people wait for... funding

Over the years, Tay Ninh province has always paid attention to landslide prevention and control by allocating funds to build projects and works to prevent landslides and land subsidence. However, the funding source is still not enough to meet the actual needs, because the situation of landslides and land subsidence is becoming more and more complicated, with the number of landslides each year being more dangerous than the previous year.

From the beginning of 2025 up to now, the whole province has had 15 serious landslides and land subsidence points, with a total landslide length of about 2,600m, and a lost land area of ​​nearly 26ha.

After the road collapsed, Mr. Bui Van Sau (residing in Thanh Hoa commune) used sandbags to temporarily reinforce it for people to travel.

Landslides at Duong Van Duong canal have caused severe damage to the road surface, posing a high risk of traffic accidents.

Landslides and subsidence incidents mainly occur in localities such as Nhon Hoa Lap, Tan Lan, Thanh Hoa, Can Giuoc, etc.

The length of the landslide at Nuoc Man canal is about 1,800m, in which the section from the old ferry terminal to the Nuoc Man canal bridge is the most seriously eroded, affecting the lives of about 50 households.
