Speaking at the ceremony, Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Viet Hung emphasized: After 18 years of implementing the Law on Gender Equality and 5 years of implementing the National Strategy for the period 2021-2030, Nghe An has achieved many positive results: Women account for more than 50% of the workforce, 31.5% of female business owners, 30.77% of female National Assembly deputies, 27.71% of female provincial People's Council deputies. Policies to reduce poverty, create jobs, and improve living standards have helped millions of women and children access health services, education , and development opportunities. However, violence, abuse, child marriage, and gender prejudice still exist, causing harm to women and children.

Director of the Department of Home Affairs Nguyen Viet Hung suggested: All levels, sectors and localities should consider gender equality as a mandatory indicator in the socio-economic development plan and digital transformation program; at the same time, localities, departments, sectors and branches also need to build a model to protect women and children in the digital environment, and improve cyber safety skills for women, students and pupils.

Educational institutions integrate gender equality and digital safety into life skills education programs; build a school environment: no violence - no abuse - no bullying - no gender prejudice - no discrimination; have a mechanism to detect - intervene - provide timely support when students are victims or at risk.
Encourage and create conditions for women and children, especially young women, students, female workers, and laborers in industrial zones, to proactively equip themselves with digital skills and online self-protection skills; boldly denounce acts of violence, abuse, and harassment; proactively participate in courses, training programs, and communication campaigns on digital safety, life skills, emotional management, and self-protection.
