| Representatives of CARE International in Vietnam and the Vietnam Stature Foundation (VSF) presented capital to support livelihoods. |
Accordingly, Yen Thanh cinnamon cooperative, Yen Thanh commune and Minh Quang tea cooperative, Thong Nguyen commune were supported with 300 million VND/cooperative. The capital was deployed in the form of interest-free loans, operating in an annual rotation, helping 40 members of the 2 cooperatives, who are ethnic minority women, to be financially proactive, have the opportunity to expand production, develop the economy , and increase family income.
In the program, CARE International in Vietnam and VSF organized training for women who benefited from the livelihood support fund, focusing on the following contents: Gender equality, identifying gender stereotypes and prejudices; the role of women in economic development; skills to prevent and combat domestic violence. The activities contributed to improving the efficiency of loan capital use, promoting gender equality and sustainable development in the locality.
