Viet Lam commune experiments with growing Korean ginseng

On November 9, the People's Committee of Viet Lam commune launched winter crop planting and trial planting of Korean ginseng in the area.

Immediately after the launching ceremony, the commune officials and people of Chang village, Viet Lam commune went to the field to plant more than 200 Korean ginseng plants on a planned area of ​​400 m². Korean ginseng is one of the medicinal herbs with high economic value on the market, suitable for the local climate and soil conditions. During the implementation process, households participating in the model were supported with technical care, growth monitoring and assessment of the adaptability of the seedlings.

The trial planting of Korean ginseng is expected to open up a direction for restructuring crops towards high-value agriculture . Through evaluating productivity and economic efficiency, the model will be considered for replication in the locality.
