
Accordingly, on the morning of November 11, in the sea area of Village 14, Lien Huong Commune, Lam Dong Province, harsh weather, big waves, and strong winds caused 4 fishing boats of fishermen in Lien Huong Commune to sink.
The fishing vessels include: BTh 81652 TS, 10.13 m long, owned by Mr. Tran Dinh Hai (born in 1999), which was anchored when it was overturned by waves and cannot be salvaged yet; BTh 80347 TS, 8.7 m long, owned by Mr. Luc Thanh Hiep (born in 1977), was washed ashore by waves, ran aground, and had a broken bottom. The vehicle has been pulled ashore for repairs.

In the morning, the BTh 80316 TS ship, 8.15 m long, owned by Mr. Tran Duc Luan (born in 1972), was completely sunk by waves while anchored. Due to bad weather, the salvage was postponed. Only 5 minutes later, the BTh 82176 TS ship, 6.57 m long, owned by Mr. Nguyen Xuan Tam (born in 1978), carrying 2 workers, was sunk by waves while moving into Lien Huong Fishing Port. The two fishermen were rescued by local people in time, and the vehicle was salvaged.

Also on November 11, Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station informed about a vehicle sinking in the area under its management. Specifically, at 9:30 a.m., the BTh 80088 TS, 22 horsepower, 7.9 m long, trawl fishing vessel, with 2 workers, owned and captained by Mr. Nguyen Van Linh (born 1991, La Gi ward), was completely sunk by waves while moving into the La Gi Fishing Port estuary. Currently, the 2 workers have been rescued by people working nearby to ensure safety. The vessel is in the process of being salvaged.

On the evening of November 11, Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station also informed about a vehicle sinking in the area under its management. Accordingly, at 1:50 p.m., the BTh 85974 TS, 77 horsepower, 12.65 meters long, trawl fishing vessel, with 7 workers, owned and captained by Mr. Huynh Ngoc Ha (born in 1980, Phuoc Hoi ward), was moving into the La Gi Port estuary when it was completely sunk by waves.
Currently, 7 workers have been rescued by nearby people to ensure safety, the vehicle is in the process of being salvaged. Estimated damage is about 450 million VND.

Immediately after the incidents, the Provincial Border Guard Command directed the Lien Huong Port Border Guard Station to mobilize 20 officers and soldiers to coordinate with local military forces and fishermen to participate in the rescue and salvage of sunken ships and fishing gear.

Phuoc Loc Border Guard Station also sent 10 officers and soldiers and mobilized people and vehicles operating nearby to participate in supporting the salvage of the vehicle.
Border guards continue to be on duty, supporting fishermen to overcome the consequences, and at the same time encouraging households whose vessels are in distress. Units also step up propaganda, instructing people to reinforce and anchor their vessels to ensure safety, and not to enter or exit seaports in dangerous weather conditions.
