Announcing the collective trademark "Muong Khuong sausage"

On the afternoon of November 11, at Muong Khuong commune, the Department of Science and Technology coordinated with the Provincial Farmers' Association to organize a ceremony to announce and grant the right to use the collective trademark "Muong Khuong sausage".

Attending the event were Mr. Tran Hung - Deputy Director of the Department of Science and Technology; representative of the Provincial Farmers' Association; leaders of the Farmers' Associations of Muong Khuong, Pha Long, Cao Son communes and 30 households in the commune.

Muong Khuong is a land rich in cultural identity and abundant products. Among them, Muong Khuong sausage has long been a typical specialty, with its own flavor thanks to local livestock resources, traditional spice marinating methods and typical smoking techniques of the highland people.

At the ceremony, the decision to grant the Certificate and grant the Certificate of protection for the collective trademark "Lap xuong Muong Khuong" to the Provincial Farmers' Association was announced. At the same time, the Certificate of trademark usage rights was awarded to 30 households in Muong Khuong, marking a transition from small-scale production to quality-controlled production, brand recognition and sustainable development orientation.

In order to improve the quality and reputation of sausage products in the market, the leaders of the Farmers' Association and farmers of the three communes of Muong Khuong, Pha Long, and Cao Son have proposed that all levels and sectors have practical support solutions.

Specifically, the producers want to be supported with packaging and product labels to build their brands and increase product value. At the same time, they request that the authorities guide the producers to register for production, meet OCOP standards, and create conditions for Muong Khuong sausage products to affirm their position in the market.

In addition, increasing promotion and product introduction on e-commerce platforms and mass media is also expected to help this specialty product reach consumers widely, contributing to the development of the rural economy and building a sustainable brand for Muong Khuong sausage.

The issuance of the Certificate of registration of the collective trademark "Lap xuong Muong Khuong" by the Intellectual Property Office marks an important step forward in affirming the brand value of this specialty product. The certificate not only creates a legal corridor to protect the rights of production establishments, but also serves as a basis for building reputation, promoting and expanding the product consumption market.
