Viettel participates in supplying high-tech defense products in the Indian market.

(Chinhphu.vn) - On November 10, within the framework of the 2025 Defense and Security Exhibition held in Thailand, Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Ordefence Systems Limited (Ordefence), a unit of India's leading private group - Adani, to develop and expand the supply network of defense and high-tech products. This is an important step in Viettel's strategy to enhance defense capacity and expand the global market.

According to the agreement, Viettel Equipment Manufacturing Corporation and Ordefence aim to build a strategic cooperation relationship in research and development of new generation defense and security solutions, while promoting the commercialization of dual-use products in Vietnam and potential international markets.

Taking advantage of domestic production, the two companies plan to implement the OEM model (the company manufactures products according to the requirements and designs of the partner, then the products are sold under the brand of that partner) combined with technology transfer and mastery of systems, components and modules of Ordefence's product line. In addition, the cooperation orientation also includes in-depth training activities, sharing of knowledge, experience and expert exchange, contributing to improving technological capacity and building a high-quality human resource team.

Viettel's signing of a strategic cooperation agreement with the Indian Group marks an important step forward in its strategy of integration and expansion of international cooperation in the field of defense industry. This agreement not only affirms Viettel's high-tech research, development and production capacity, but also opens up opportunities for "Make in Vietnam" products to participate more deeply in the global value chain. At the same time, this cooperation also contributes to strengthening the defense industry cooperation relationship between Vietnam and India, creating a foundation for a sustainable, autonomous and globalized development ecosystem in the field of defense technology.

In that large ecosystem, Ordefence Systems Limited is a strategic subsidiary in the defense sector of the group, specializing in providing security equipment and advanced weapons for armed forces, notably the following product lines: Unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV), suicide missiles, anti-UAV systems, ammunition, missiles & precision-guided weapons, infantry weapons, Aircraft & MRO services and AI/ML & Cyber ​​Security.
