Completing the enforcement of 66,000m² of land encroaching on Mui Ne sand dunes

About 66,000 square meters of land in the Mui Ne flying sand dunes scenic area (Lam Dong province) that was encroached upon by subjects has been forcibly cleared by local authorities.

On the afternoon of November 11, the People's Committee of Mui Ne Ward ( Lam Dong Province) announced that the local government and functional forces had completed the enforcement and recovery of about 66,000 square meters of illegally encroached land in the Mui Ne flying sand dunes scenic area (Ward 15, Mui Ne Ward).

Illegal constructions such as a miniature resort on encroached land have been completely demolished.

Since the morning of November 10, about 200 people and many vehicles have been mobilized to enforce and force Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu T. and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy T. (both residing in Lam Dong province) to take remedial measures against Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu T. and Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuy T. (both residing in Lam Dong province) for encroaching on about 66,000 square meters of land and constructing a series of illegal structures in the Mui Ne flying sand dunes scenic area. The enforcement process is expected to take place in 3 days, from November 10 to 12, 2025. However, the local authorities completed the enforcement 1 day ahead of schedule.

Illegal swimming pools, restaurants and houses were completely demolished.

Mr. Tran Hai Anh, Vice Chairman of Mui Ne Ward People's Committee, said that in the encroached land area, the authorities demolished 7 solid structures (swimming pool, restaurant, house...) and 4 auxiliary structures. In addition, a series of trees on the land were also uprooted. The entire illegally encroached land area has been recovered and handed over to the State for management.

From 2022 to present, SGGP Newspaper has repeatedly reported the situation of more than 73,000m2 of land in the Mui Ne sand dunes being encroached and built without permission by 3 individuals. After that, the Standing Committee of Binh Thuan Provincial Party Committee (formerly) directed the Standing Committee of Phan Thiet City Party Committee (formerly) to direct relevant units to inspect and handle the case. By October 16, 2025, the locality had forcibly removed 7,500m2 encroached by Mr. Lai Thien P., the remaining 66,000m2 encroached by 2 individuals has been completed.
