Strengthening food safety assurance in schools and collective kitchens

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Education and Training, Health, Industry and Trade, Agriculture and Environment, the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, and localities, based on their assigned tasks and authority, to effectively implement the requirements of the Ministry of Health in Official Dispatch No. 7598/BYT-ATTP to ensure food safety, proactively prevent and combat food poisoning in collective kitchens, schools, and food safety incidents effectively.

Specifically: strictly implement the provisions of the Food Safety Law and related documents; strengthen inter-sectoral work in inspection, examination, and post-inspection; promote communication and education on food safety knowledge and measures to prevent food poisoning appropriate to each subject.

Promote the role of mass organizations, medical facilities, parent-teacher representative boards, and relevant social organizations in supervising health care, ensuring food safety, and environmental sanitation in industrial parks, hospitals, and schools.

Proactively develop a plan to ensure food safety for collective kitchens at agencies and units in the area; ensure that kitchens in schools, industrial parks, medical facilities, food service establishments, and street food establishments are fully inspected, supervised, post-inspected, and managed.

Direct local medical units to prepare plans, standing forces, vehicles, supplies, and chemicals to promptly handle and minimize impacts when food poisoning occurs...
