Hai Phong industry accelerates, IIP in 10 months increases by more than 15%

It is estimated that in the first 10 months of 2025, Hai Phong's industrial production index (IIP) will increase by 15.02% over the same period in 2024.

According to Hai Phong City Statistics, the city's industrial production index in October 2025 is estimated to increase by 3.81% compared to September 2025.

Some key industries achieved quite high growth rates, such as: the production of other means of transport increased by 22.54%; the production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials increased by 27.69%; the production of garments increased by 26.26%; the production of electronic products, computers and optical products increased by 16.02%; the production of motor vehicles increased by 13.77%...

In the eastern part of Hai Phong, IIP in October is estimated to increase by 12.71% over the same period last year. In the western part of Hai Phong, IIP in October is estimated to increase by 12.88% over the same period last year.

It is estimated that in the first 10 months of 2025, Hai Phong's IIP will increase by 15.02% over the same period in 2024. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry will increase by 16.61%, and the water supply, waste and wastewater treatment industry will increase by 6.19%.

In addition, some industries faced difficulties due to slow recovery of market demand, production output in the first 10 months decreased compared to the same period, negatively affecting the overall growth rate of the whole industry such as: electricity production and distribution decreased by 4.58%; tobacco product manufacturing decreased by 14.01%; mining decreased by 20.64%.

Over the past 5 years, Hai Phong's industrial production index has been relatively stable with a fairly high growth rate, the processing and manufacturing industry has always been the main driving force for growth.
