Removing the "bottleneck" in site clearance

Son My I Industrial Park Project (Son My Commune, Lam Dong Province) has a total investment capital of 2,300 billion VND, with a scale of 1,070 hectares. Up to now, the project has only compensated more than 105 hectares, the remaining area is currently undergoing compensation and site clearance. However, according to the report of the Provincial Industrial Park Management Board, the compensation and site clearance progress of Son My I Industrial Park still faces many obstacles due to a number of lawsuits and incomplete land records.

Faced with that situation, to gradually overcome the difficulties, Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai requested relevant units to "sprint" in October and November 2025 to complete all key tasks. Specifically, the Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned Branch of the Land Fund Development Center No. 1 to review, complete legal documents and invite compensation payments to households in the priority area of 375 hectares and 5 households in the resettlement area before October 30. At the same time, the unit must mobilize more human resources, speed up the progress of clearing the remaining area of nearly 700 hectares to hand over the site to the investor to implement the project.

The People's Committee of Son My commune is responsible for completing the determination of land origin and assets attached to land, coordinating with the consulting unit to develop a plan for land price, compensation, support, and resettlement, and completing it before November 15. At the same time, the commune needs to strengthen propaganda and mobilize people to agree, contributing to removing obstacles at the grassroots level.

Resolutely handle backlog, create clean space for investors

One of the top concerns at Son My 1 Industrial Park is handling lawsuits related to compensation and site clearance. The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial People's Court to schedule early trials and finalize the cases so as not to affect the progress. Relevant units must proactively coordinate and provide documents and evidence when requested.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee also assigned the Department of Agriculture and Environment to urgently guide the People's Committee of Son My Commune and the Land Fund Development Center in applying compensation policies for special cases, such as agricultural land interspersed in residential areas or having a decision but not yet paid. In cases where legal regulations are unclear, it is necessary to proactively report and ask for opinions from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment for early implementation instructions. At the same time, the Provincial People's Committee assigned the Department of Finance to guide IPICO Company, the investor of Son My I Industrial Park, to complete the dossier and submit for approval the raw water supply pipeline to the industrial park fence - a key item to ensure technical infrastructure for the implementation of the first phase of the project.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai directed that each milestone must be implemented with a spirit of urgency, responsibility and close coordination. The investor IPICO proactively completed the documents, prepared sufficient funds and human resources and worked closely with the authorities to speed up the site clearance work.

The Provincial Industrial Park Management Board is assigned the role of focal point, regularly urging, inspecting, summarizing difficulties and advising the Provincial People's Committee to promptly handle them. Clearly classifying each group of difficulties and proposing specific solutions is considered the key to bringing the project to the finish line on time. Son My I Industrial Park is expected to open up new development space for Lam Dong province. The Provincial People's Committee is directing strongly, requiring the completion of key site clearance items in October and November 2025, as a basis to accelerate the project's progress.

The drastic direction, clear timeline and specific action spirit are showing the province's determination to soon complete the infrastructure of Son My I Industrial Park, creating clean land to attract large investment projects.
