The U.23 Vietnam team did not start well, played without concentration, so U.23 Uzbekistan scored in the 4th minute after a fast-paced combination on the left wing. Compared to the victory over host U.23 China a few days ago, in yesterday's match, interim coach Dinh Hong Vinh made many changes to the personnel arrangement, keeping only 4 players, and putting on the field 7 new players, including Trung Kien, Phi Hoang, Minh Phuc, Quoc Cuong, Van Thuan, Le Viktor and Dinh Bac. U.23 Vietnam had many difficulties in approaching the opponent's penalty area. However, things were better in the second half when the young Vietnamese boys launched good attacks and at many times put U.23 Uzbekistan in a passive position, struggling to defend.
It is worth noting that in the second half, coach Dinh Hong Vinh renewed the attack line with Thanh Nhan, Van Khang, Quoc Viet, Ngoc My, Thai Son alongside central defender Tuan Phong and right-back Anh Quan. Many opportunities were created after the shots of Dinh Bac, Ngoc My, Hieu Minh, Le Viktor... Unfortunately, the players were a bit hasty, so U.23 Vietnam could not score an equalizer.

Coach Dinh Hong Vinh commented: "U.23 Vietnam played with determination and discipline. We met a very strong opponent, well organized and experienced in international competitions. Despite conceding an early goal, the whole team remained calm, tried to adjust and regain the rhythm of the match. I am satisfied with the efforts and attitude of the players, although there are still points to improve in the final handling and the ability to maintain the pressing rhythm. This result is very unfortunate because the whole team created some good opportunities, but lacked a bit of precision and final decisiveness. However, this is an international friendly tournament, our goal is to build the squad, test the players and accumulate experience for the upcoming official tournaments. After the match, the players will have a meeting to review their experiences and become more mature."

Both U.23 Vietnam and U.23 Uzbekistan still have a chance to compete for the Panda Cup championship.
With this result, the U.23 Vietnam team will have to defeat the U.23 Korea team at 2:30 p.m. on November 18 if they want to win the 2025 Panda Cup. However, coach Dinh Hong Vinh may take advantage of the last match in China to let players who have not played yet, such as Nguyen Tan, Van Ha, Duc Anh, and Quang Kiet, take the field.
Mr. Vinh shared: "U.23 Korea is a high-quality team, they move a lot on the field, have good speed and play very modern football. We will analyze today's match, consider the physical condition of each player and make reasonable adjustments. The goal of U.23 Vietnam will be to play more organized, maintain the team's distance and improve the quality in the final stages. At the same time, we will create opportunities for players who need more playing time to evaluate the overall force."
