The origin of cultural thinking

Every nation has an invisible source, the source of culture. It is not only in the folk songs, the singing, or the communal house roof, but also in the habits, behavior, the way people look at life and treat each other.

Through many changes, Vietnamese people still keep in mind “taking love as the root”. In the midst of natural disasters, wars, and poverty, Vietnamese people still share a bowl of rice and a drink with each other. That is a culture of humanity, a culture that knows how to put people at the center of all values.

But then there are times when we are so busy chasing the pace of modern life that we forget that culture is the thread that anchors humanity. The more society develops, the faster the pace of life, the more easily people get tired. We can build high-rise buildings, but we lose the depths of our souls.

Culture, if seen only as festivals, heritage or customs, is just a shell. True culture is what makes people feel, love, feel ashamed and appreciate. It is the root to prevent society from becoming rigid, the underground stream to prevent development from being insensitive.

Humanistic thinking - the torch that lights the way

If culture is the soil, then humanity is the seed.

If culture gives us identity, then humanity helps us sow kindness in life.

An economy that wants to be strong, a society that wants to be sustainable, cannot rely only on growth, but must rely on people who know how to love and respect each other.

Humanistic thinking is not something lofty, but starts with small things. It is when officials know how to listen to the people. It is when businesses think about the environment before thinking about profits. It is when teachers teach students compassion before teaching formulas.

The world once had brilliant civilizations that disappeared, not because of poverty, but because of the loss of human soul. The ancient Greeks said: "Whoever wants to rule a country must first learn to rule his own mind." Humanity is that mind, the mind that knows how to see others not as a means, but as a reflection of oneself. Humanity is what you do not want others to do to you, then you should not do the same to others.

When culture and humanity become one

When cultural thinking and humanistic thinking go hand in hand, we can go far without forgetting the way home.

That is when every policy is viewed through the lens of the human heart. That is when a construction project does not only consider the materials, but also considers the breath of the community around it. That is when education does not only teach knowledge, but also instills cultural pride and compassion in the souls of children.

Like a rice field, culture is the alluvial soil, humanity is the seed, and development is the harvest. If we only fertilize the harvest and forget to care for the soil, the following season will be barren.

A rich society that lacks humanity is like a river with much water but no longer clear.

Towards a humane future

Looking back at our nation's history, we see that the most difficult times were also the times when culture and humanity became the guiding light.

From the story of Saint Giong taking off his shirt to return to heaven, to the mother carrying rice for the soldiers, from the thatched roof by the Red River to the ferry on the Tien River, all are proof of the power of kindness, of the cultural spirit that knows how to resolve adversity with human love.

Today, when talking about innovation, digital transformation, AI technology..., we still need a more solid foundation, which is human beings in a cultured society. Because only human beings know how to use technology to serve, not to dominate. Only culture can help us go through globalization while still maintaining our identity.

Culture is the memory of the nation,

Cloning is the memory of humanity.

When the two streams merge into one,

People will find their own meaning again.

Like the leaf floating on the river that afternoon, if it weren't for the water hyacinth clump anchoring it, it would drift forever, not knowing where to go.

Likewise, without culture and humanity as a foundation, society can progress quickly, but not necessarily far. Because development, after all, is not just about moving forward, but also about knowing how to preserve what makes us human.

There are things that cannot be measured in numbers or money, but are the foundation that nurtures all values, which are culture and humanity. These two streams seem to be parallel, but in fact, they always infiltrate and harmonize in every thought, every way of life, every action of people./.
