Comrade Nguyen Hau Phuong (left cover), Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Dan commune, Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association, local authorities and households organized the groundbreaking ceremony to build a house for Ms. Tong Thi Chau's family.

Ms. Tong Thi Chau is a particularly poor household, with no land for production and an unstable life. For many years, she and her family have had to work far from home but have not yet escaped poverty. Two years ago, her husband passed away after a serious illness; now her health is also weak and she needs regular treatment. The family of 5 has no stable place to live.

Faced with that situation, the local government mobilized and agreed to support the construction of a Great Solidarity House for Mrs. Chau's family, helping her and her children and grandchildren soon have a stable place to live, work with peace of mind, and improve their lives. The house is designed to meet the "3 hard" criteria, with an area of ​​over 40 m², total value of 60 million VND, the cost of which is taken from the "For the Poor" Fund of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ca Mau province. The project is expected to be completed and handed over by the end of December 2025.

Immediately after the groundbreaking ceremony, the house was built according to the design, ensuring progress and quality of the project.

Speaking at the ceremony, comrade Nguyen Hau Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Dan Commune, Chairman of the Commune Veterans Association, said: “Since the merger, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Hong Dan Commune has supported the construction of 3 Great Unity Houses for households in difficult circumstances. The households that have received support are all very excited, have more confidence and motivation to improve their lives. In the coming time, the Commune Fatherland Front will continue to mobilize social resources to build more Great Unity Houses, contributing to the effective implementation of social security work, taking good care of the material and spiritual life of the people.”
