Announcing the 2025 National 7-a-side Football Cup

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Hong Minh - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department - said: "Over the years, with the great efforts of Vietfootball, the 7-a-side football cup has been organized regularly with high professionalism, attracting the participation of many clubs, creating a healthy playing field, contributing to raising the professionalism of Vietnamese football, spreading the love of football, and building a healthy lifestyle."

The leaders of the Vietnam Sports Department hope that in the future, Vietfootball and other units will continue to work together to develop 7-a-side football, not only as a "specialty of Vietnam," but also to expand it to other regions.

Since 2019, the national 7-a-side football tournament has been held for the first time in three regions: North, Central, and South, followed by a national final round. This marks a significant milestone in the development of 7-a-side football, a form of football still considered a "specialty" and popular in Vietnam. Each year, the tournament attracts a large number of teams from all three regions, contributing to its widespread popularity throughout the country.

In the last two years, the National 7-a-side Football Cup finals, held in Ho Chi Minh City, have brought a fresh perspective, marking a success and receiving high praise from experts as well as enthusiastic support from the audience.

Speaking on behalf of the Organizing Committee, Mr. Pham Ngoc Tuan – General Director of VietFootball, shared: "Each season is a journey of passion and true sportsmanship. This year, with the support of Hyundai Thanh Cong and widespread participation, we believe that VSC-S5 will continue to be a true football festival for lovers of 7-a-side football."

This season, the National 7-a-side Football Cup - Hyundai Thanh Cong Cup 2025 (VSC-S5) promises many unique and exciting features, bringing together strong teams representing the diverse cultures of various regions.

Accordingly, the North has 20 participating teams, including representatives from Hanoi, Thai Nguyen, Ha Tinh, Hai Phong, Ninh Binh, etc. The South has 16 teams from Ho Chi Minh City and provinces in the Mekong Delta, Southeast, and Central Highlands. Meanwhile, the Central region, held in Da Nang, has 8 teams competing.

After more than two months of competition in the three regional qualifiers, the eight best-performing teams will earn tickets to the national finals.

According to the schedule, the Northern regional qualifiers will take place from October 12th to November 23rd at the C500 Stadium of the Security Academy (Hanoi); the Southern regional qualifiers will be held from October 11th to November 15th at Gia Dinh Stadium (Ho Chi Minh City); and the Central regional qualifiers will take place from October 19th to November 16th at Dam Sen Stadium (Da Nang).

The national finals will be held from November 29th to December 7th in Ho Chi Minh City.
