On the evening of May 29th, the Central Youth Union Council, in collaboration with Plan International Vietnam, organized the opening of the thematic exhibition "Youth Responding to Climate Change" at the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Center (Hai Ba Trung Ward, Hanoi ).

This activity is part of the "27th World Children's Day - 2026" event, directed by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Vietnam Cultural and Art Exhibition Center in coordination with the Central Youth Union Council and other relevant units.
The exhibition is one of the key activities of the program "Youth and Children Join Hands to Act on Climate Change" taking place from May 29th to June 1st, 2026, coinciding with International Children's Day, in response to the 2026 Action Month for Children with the theme "Happy, Safe, and Steadfast Children in the Digital Age".
This is not just a purely exhibition space, but also a place to showcase exemplary models and initiatives of young people nationwide in environmental protection, plastic waste reduction, climate change adaptation, and disaster prevention and control.

Through this exhibition, the organizers hope to spread a sense of responsibility, raise awareness, and promote the active participation of the younger generation in building a sustainable community.
The first highlight of the exhibition is 40 paintings by young people from Tuyen Quang province. With their innocent yet profound perspectives, the children vividly reflect current environmental issues, while also conveying meaningful messages about protecting nature, preserving ecosystems, and working together to address global climate change.

In addition, the thematic exhibition space also showcases exemplary models and initiatives from young people in Quang Tri province - a locality that frequently faces natural disasters and extreme weather.
Notably, 56 innovative ideas were selected from the "Youth Action to Respond to Climate Change in Quang Tri Province 2026" competition. Many of these initiatives have been piloted in schools, initially yielding practical results and showing potential for replication, contributing to building safe communities that proactively adapt to the increasing challenges of climate change.

The program "Youth Joining Hands to Act on Climate Change" is organized with a series of practical activities aimed at raising awareness and promoting the role and participation of young people in environmental protection and climate change response.
In addition to the exhibition, the program will also include the conference "Youth Joining Hands to Act on Climate Change" to be held on June 5-6, 2026 at Le Duan School (Hanoi), where children and young people will have the opportunity to directly share, discuss, and commit to taking action for the environment and responding to climate change.
