Ho Chi Minh City: Exciting activities on National Unity Day

On November 16, many communes and wards in Ho Chi Minh City organized activities within the framework of the National Great Unity Festival with the theme "National Unity Festival", in commemoration of the 95th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).

On the morning of November 16, Phuoc Nguyen Quarter 2, Ba Ria Ward organized the National Great Unity Day 2025. According to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, the Quarter has 544 households, currently there are no poor households, security and order are maintained stably. Patriotic emulation movements and campaigns are widely deployed, bringing positive changes to community life.

In 2025, the neighborhood mobilized people to contribute more than 67 million VND to carry out practical projects and tasks such as: "National Flag Street", installing security cameras, and planting flowers to green the garbage area.

The ward also mobilized 65 million VND from various funds, reaching 103% of the plan; gave more than 400 gifts to disadvantaged households and lonely elderly people, gave 440 Mid-Autumn gifts to children, and mobilized 68 million VND to support people affected by storm No. 10. On this occasion, 20 households in difficult circumstances received encouragement gifts from the ward and neighborhood People's Committee.

In Binh Duong ward, Phu My 5 Quarter was assigned to organize the National Great Unity Day in 2025. According to the Report on the assessment of the national great unity bloc and the results of the implementation of campaigns and patriotic emulation movements of Phu My 5 Quarter in 2025, the locality has implemented the Campaign "All people unite to build civilized urban areas" and diverse and effective emulation movements in 2025.

Specifically, in terms of building a Cultural Family (GĐVH), the neighborhood has achieved 100% of the target, with a total of 616/616 households recognized as a GĐVH. In addition, cultural and social activities have been promoted, including: Successfully organizing competitions such as decorating beautiful roads and decorating apricot trees/Tet, maintaining a cultural and civilized urban lifestyle, and doing a good job of crime prevention and maintaining security and order.

Regarding social security work, the neighborhood has mobilized 7,000,000 VND to support flood victims in the Central region and presented 200 gifts worth 14,000,000 VND to children in the area, at the same time presented 50 gifts to workers and supported the cost of repairing works to welcome the Party Congress, demonstrating consensus and joining hands to build a stable and progressive material and spiritual life. On this occasion, the neighborhood presented 2 motorbikes to support livelihoods for disadvantaged households; and commended 4 typical cultural families.

Along with that, the city government, Binh Duong ward and Ward 5 and sponsors presented many meaningful practical gifts to poor, near-poor and disadvantaged households in the area, spreading the spirit of mutual love in the community.

Also on November 16, Ward 26, Ben Thanh Ward solemnly organized the National Great Unity Day 2025. According to Mr. Le Ba Hong, Head of Ward 26, in 2025, the Party Committee, Ward, Front Work Committee and mass organizations mobilized people to actively participate in major movements and campaigns launched by the City and Ward such as "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", the movement "All people protect national security" in the new situation, the movement "15 minutes for a civilized and clean city".

The neighborhood also mobilized units and philanthropists to support many practical social security models such as "Using the people's strength to care for the people", "Drinking water, remembering its source", "Warm heart - Delicious meals", "Accompanying disadvantaged children to school". Thereby, 119 gifts with a total value of more than 135 million VND were given to people and students in difficult circumstances during the holidays and Tet.

At the festival, representatives of the neighborhood, associations and local police registered to carry out 5 emulation projects in 2025, contributing to building a safe, civilized and affectionate Neighborhood 26.

On this occasion, the Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward presented gifts to congratulate the festival and gave 2 gifts to disadvantaged households; the neighborhood supported 15 more gifts to households in special circumstances and awarded 10 scholarships to students. The festival also honored 2 examples of "Good People - Good Deeds" at the ward level and 5 examples of "Good People - Good Deeds" at the neighborhood level.
