Department of Justice organizes notary training conference in 2025

On the afternoon of November 16, the Department of Justice organized a conference on notary training in 2025 with the participation of more than 70 delegates who are notaries and professional staff of notary organizations in the province.

At the conference, delegates listened to the reporter of the Judicial Academy convey many important contents such as: Standards for appointment, dismissal and rights and obligations of notaries; regulations on training and internship; conditions for establishment and organization of notary offices; notarization process, authority, testimony; management and exploitation of notary database; archiving of paper and electronic records according to the new time limit.

Many new regulations of the 2024 Notary Law are also considered to contribute to tightening professional procedures, such as: Strictly controlling signing outside the headquarters, taking photos of notaries witnessing the signing of notarized documents, using unified witness forms and books; increasing the responsibility of notaries in guiding trainees.

At the conference, delegates discussed with the reporter about the difficulties and obstacles in notarization and certification activities. Many practical situations were raised to clarify how to apply new regulations, identify risks and handle complex documents. These exchanges help notaries and notary practitioners increase their knowledge, experience and improve their professional quality in the process of performing their duties.

In his concluding remarks, the leaders of the Department of Justice requested that notary organizations continue to update and fully grasp new regulations; proactively review professional procedures; strengthen appraisal, identification and risk prevention; strictly implement record keeping and participate in annual training. The synchronous implementation will contribute to improving the quality of notary services, meeting the requirements of administrative reform and ensuring legal safety for organizations and individuals in the province.
