Implementing the Joint Program No. 7237 of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and the Hanoi People's Committee, there have been 1,327 safe food supply chains from the provinces supplying the capital, of which Hanoi maintains and develops 170 chains, Son La, Hung Yen , and Lang Son provinces maintain and develop 334 chains. This contributes to ensuring supply, stabilizing the market, and promoting production and business activities of agricultural, forestry, and fishery products in Hanoi.
The main agricultural, forestry and fishery product groups supplied to Hanoi include: Rice from Hung Yen with some chains of Bao Minh Food Processing Joint Stock Company, Hung Cuc Company Limited. Vegetables and tubers from Son La , Hung Yen with some chains and facilities such as Hoang Hai Tan Lap Agricultural Cooperative, Cao Son Moc Chau Cooperative, Ngoc Linh Son La Vegetable and Fruit Trading Co., Ltd., Van Giang Safe Vegetable and Fruit Production Cooperative, Tien Chau Pho Hien Cooperative...

In order to strengthen the inspection and supervision of the quality of agricultural products from Hanoi and from provinces and cities brought to Hanoi for consumption in the first 10 months of 2025, the Hanoi Department of Agriculture and Environment has taken 1,782 samples for analysis, and currently has results of 1,708 samples, of which 1,622 samples meet food safety requirements (accounting for 95%). For samples that do not meet the requirements, the department has promptly informed and warned the provinces and cities to trace the origin and determine the cause. The department's units have inspected and post-inspected 217 establishments, resulting in 4 establishments violating the regulations, issuing 4 fine decisions with a total amount of 275 million VND.
Hanoi is one of the pioneering localities in applying information technology to agricultural product quality management. The check.hanoi.gov.vn system has provided guidance and provided management accounts for 3,062 establishments with 11,765 sets of traceability codes, including 1,972 products from the provinces.
The city maintains, develops, and integrates a rapid warning system and food safety risk analysis on a GIS-based software system. Maintains and expands the self-declaration data management system for agricultural, forestry, and fishery products. Builds an online software system to test and evaluate food safety knowledge for agricultural, forestry, and fishery production and business establishments.

Also at the Conference, some problems were pointed out such as the circulation and consumption of agricultural products between Hanoi and the provinces of Son La and Lang Son are still limited in quantity and variety. The proportion of agricultural product output in the chain of provinces and cities consumed in Hanoi is not high. Some chains are not complete, small and medium scale, mainly fresh products, lacking in deeply processed products, contract breaking often occurs...
Based on the results achieved, Hanoi and the provinces of Son La, Lang Son, and Hung Yen commit to: Strengthening information, promoting safe food supply chains; Closely coordinating in quality management, food safety, monitoring, inspection, checking, and tracing the origin of agricultural products from provinces and cities to Hanoi for consumption and vice versa; Developing and maintaining the traceability system for agricultural, forestry, and aquatic products and food in Hanoi; Organizing conferences, seminars, and trade promotion; Developing logistics infrastructure.
