On the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam National United Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025), on the evening of November 16, General Secretary To Lam and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man attended the National Great Unity Festival in residential area Cluster 1, Ba Dinh ward, Hanoi city.
Also attending were Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu; Politburo member, Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Duy Ngoc; Party Central Committee Secretary, Permanent Deputy Head of the Central Internal Affairs Committee Le Minh Tri; Party Central Committee member, Vice President-General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Nguyen Thi Thu Ha; representatives of leaders of central agencies, ministries, departments, branches, the National Assembly and Hanoi city, and a large number of people from Cluster 1, Ba Dinh ward.
Implementing the 2-level local government model, Ba Dinh ward was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area and population of the wards: Quan Thanh, Truc Bach; most of the natural area and part of the population of the wards Dien Bien , Ngoc Ha; part of the natural area and population of the wards Doi Can, Kim Ma, Dong Xuan, Cua Dong, Cua Nam, Thuy Khue.
Ba Dinh Ward holds a particularly important position in the Capital and the whole country, being the central area of politics, administration, diplomacy and culture-heritage of the nation.
Cluster 1 of Ba Dinh Ward includes 8 residential groups 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 with about 2,200 households and 8,000 people. The people and the cadres and party members in the area have a high level of education, always promoting the revolutionary tradition, solidarity, and trust in the leadership of the Party and the cause of national renewal.
In 2025, under the direct leadership of the Residential Group Party Cell and the direction of the Ba Dinh Ward Fatherland Front Committee, the Residential Group Front Working Committees of Cluster 1 promoted the spirit of solidarity, democracy, and responsibility; closely coordinated with mass organizations, actively mobilized people to well implement the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws, patriotic emulation movements... achieving many outstanding results.
The Front Working Committees have organized propaganda and mobilized people of all walks of life to strengthen, consolidate, expand and promote the strength of the great national solidarity bloc, continue to promote propaganda and mobilize union members and people of all walks of life to implement the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies; effectively implement the Campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas" and the movement "All people unite to build a cultural life."
Along with that is the implementation of hunger eradication, poverty reduction, solidarity, mutual love, building civilized residential groups; promoting the spirit of democracy, social supervision and criticism.
In the joyful and warm atmosphere of the Festival, General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man, leaders, delegates and people reviewed the 95th anniversary of the Vietnam Fatherland Front's Traditional Day, the position and role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in the country's revolutionary cause.
Sharing the joy with the people, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man expressed his joy at attending the National Great Unity Festival in residential area Cluster No. 1, Ba Dinh ward.
Sharing about the country's outstanding achievements, the National Assembly Chairman said that in 2025, despite many difficulties and challenges, the GDP growth for the whole year is estimated at 8%, GDP per capita is estimated at 5,000 USD. State budget revenue in 10 months reached more than 2.1 million billion VND, equal to 109.1% of the year's estimate and increased by 28.5% over the same period last year. GDP scale is estimated at about 510 billion USD. It is forecasted that in 2025, 15/15 main targets will be achieved and exceeded.
In addition, attention has been paid to the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste, and negativity; the fields of culture, education, health, and social security have achieved many positive results; national defense and security have been ensured; and foreign affairs have become increasingly effective.
For Hanoi city, the total product in the area is expected to account for about 8-10% of the country's GDP. Budget revenue is in the top 2 localities with the largest budget contribution (along with Ho Chi Minh City), accounting for about 26% of the total budget revenue of the country.
In 2025, the Capital will continue to affirm its role as a development locomotive with positive results, expected to achieve 23/24 main targets, of which 2 important targets will exceed the plan: GRDP per capita and growth rate of goods export turnover.
"This achievement has important contributions from 126 communes and wards of the capital, especially the contribution of Ba Dinh ward," the National Assembly Chairman emphasized.
Warmly praising the results that Hanoi city, Ba Dinh ward and Cluster 1 have achieved in the past time, the National Assembly Chairman expressed his joy at the atmosphere of solidarity, joy, excitement and friendship; the Front's working committee is always close to the people. Security and order are maintained; the material and spiritual life of the people is increasingly improved.
The National Assembly Chairman said that from now until the end of the year and early 2026, many important events of the country will take place such as: the 14th National Congress of the Party, the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress, the 80th anniversary of the first General Election to elect the National Assembly of Vietnam (January 6, 1946 - January 6, 2026), the election of deputies to the 16th National Assembly and People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
On this occasion, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man requested Hanoi to focus on directing the implementation of the recent City Congress Resolution; gradually and decisively resolve four issues: traffic congestion; urban order, green, clean, beautiful, civilized; environmental pollution, water and air pollution and flooding in urban and suburban areas; and strive to achieve and exceed the set socio-economic targets.
The Fatherland Front at all levels has strongly innovated the content and methods of operation according to the very specific and profound instructions of General Secretary To Lam: Front and mass organization cadres must maintain "3 closeness": close to the people - close to the grassroots - close to the digital space; "5 musts": must listen - must dialogue - must be a role model - must take responsibility - must report results; "4 nos": no formality - no avoidance - no shirking - no mishandling of functions.
The National Assembly Chairman requested the Fatherland Front of Ba Dinh ward to continue to organize and implement more effectively the campaign "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas," promote the self-management role of the people, build a "bright, green, clean, beautiful, safe" area, closely linked with the movement "All people protect national security"... strive for the ward to have no social evils, no use or sale of electronic cigarettes, drugs, or lawbreakers.
Proactively and regularly grasping the people's thoughts and aspirations to promptly coordinate and resolve them, the National Assembly Chairman noted to well implement the grassroots democracy regulations, maximizing the people's mastery according to the motto "people know, people discuss, people do, people inspect, people supervise and people benefit."
Along with that, diversifying forms and methods of propaganda and mobilization; promptly praising and rewarding advanced models; promoting the movement to encourage learning and talent, the movement of "Popular education", "Lifelong learning"; taking care of families of people with meritorious services to the country; mobilizing resources from the community to care for and help people in difficult circumstances.
On this occasion, General Secretary To Lam, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man and other leaders presented gifts to outstanding policy families in Cluster 1, Ba Dinh Ward, Hanoi./.
