According to the special correspondent of VNA, within the framework of the official visit to the State of Kuwait, on the evening of November 16, in the capital city of Kuwait, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and his wife Le Thi Bich Tran and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation met with staff of Vietnamese representative agencies and the Vietnamese community in Kuwait.
Reporting to the Prime Minister and the working delegation, Vietnamese Ambassador to Kuwait Nguyen Duc Thang said that although the number is not large, the Vietnamese community in Kuwait is actively contributing to the economic development and social life of Kuwait.
They work in many different fields, including many Vietnamese experts who have worked for many years in Kuwait's core oil and gas sector and a number of international oil and gas corporations.
The Vietnamese community in Kuwait always maintains its national cultural identity, building the image of Vietnamese people as dynamic, friendly and law-abiding.
People are always proud of Vietnam's development achievements and the country's position. Along with effectively implementing tasks to serve the goal of promoting Vietnam-Kuwait relations, the Vietnamese Embassy in Kuwait regularly organizes activities to connect, care for, protect citizens and communities, and connect the community with the homeland, contributing to the construction of the homeland and the country.
Representatives of the Vietnamese community in Kuwait expressed their joy and pride in welcoming the Prime Minister and his wife; thanked the Party and State for always paying attention to the Vietnamese community abroad; affirmed that each individual strives to be an "ambassador" of Vietnam's image, not only working and residing, but also being a cultural and economic bridge between Vietnam and the host country.
Expressing joy and pride in the country's development achievements, affirming their readiness to contribute to fostering the Vietnam-Kuwait relationship, as well as socio-economic development, building their homeland and country, they requested the Party and State to continue creating conditions for overseas Vietnamese to have easier access to online public services, open direct flights between the two countries, have more open visa policies, strengthen the promotion of tourism and culture in the area, and develop more strongly products suitable for the Middle East market such as high-end beach tourism, family vacations, shopping, health care, beauty, especially Halal cuisine to meet the needs of Muslim tourists...
Mr. Nguyen Kim Long - senior expert of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), reported on the great potential for oil and gas cooperation between the two countries, affirming that the big bright spot in the relationship between the two countries is the sharp increase in trade turnover, and Vietnamese goods and products are starting to appear more and more on store shelves.
Student Duong Thuy Linh, on behalf of Vietnamese students in Kuwait, promised that each student would contribute to building bridges and fostering a sustainable and widespread network of friendship between the two countries.
Ms. Vuong Thi Van Anh, a flight attendant for Kuwait Airways, affirmed that Kuwaiti people have very good feelings and admiration for Vietnam, which is an extremely important foundation to help Vietnam become a beloved tourist destination.

The Prime Minister said his visit to Kuwait is of great significance in the context of the good friendship and effective cooperation between Vietnam and Kuwait. The two sides will discuss upgrading the bilateral relationship to a new level and sign many important cooperation agreements.
Informing about the country's situation after 80 years of national independence, experiencing countless difficulties and hardships of war, embargo and nearly 40 years of implementing the renovation process, the Prime Minister said that from a poor and backward country, Vietnam now ranks 32nd in the world, with the happiness index increasing 37 places in the past 5 years.
Vietnam and the Vietnamese people are increasingly respected by the world. Recently, the country has had many important events, organized many large cultural activities, allowing people to enjoy the achievements of the country.
Since the beginning of the year, in the context of the complicated and unpredictable developments in the world and the region, with more difficulties and challenges than opportunities and advantages, the domestic socio-economic situation in 2025 continues to record positive results, each year better than the previous year. It is expected to achieve and exceed 15/15 main socio-economic targets in 2025.

Sharing with the people about the two 100-year strategic goals, the Prime Minister said that the Politburo has just issued and organized the implementation of many important strategic resolutions to bring the country into a new era of development: rich, prosperous, civilized and happy.
Appreciating the Vietnamese community in Kuwait for its solidarity, mutual love, and stable life and good integration into the local society, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh stated that the Party and State always care about the community, considering the Vietnamese community abroad, including the Vietnamese in Kuwait, as an inseparable part, as flesh and blood, as an important resource of the Vietnamese people. The Party and State have had many policies related to Vietnamese people abroad to support, care for, ensure the rights, interests and most favorable conditions for the community.
Requiring relevant ministries and branches, especially the Vietnamese Embassy in countries, including Kuwait, to develop methods and have community connection addresses so that people can contact and connect, especially in times of difficulty and need for help, as well as together build an increasingly better community; actively contribute to the development of the homeland and the country and to bilateral relations, the Prime Minister will propose to the leaders of the host country to continue to pay attention and create favorable conditions for the Vietnamese community in Kuwait to live, work stably, integrate well and become a bridge of friendship to promote relations between the two countries.
Acknowledging and sharing the aspirations and suggestions of the people, the Prime Minister directed domestic agencies to implement more drastic measures to meet the legitimate aspirations of the people. In particular, the Prime Minister paid special attention to opening a direct flight route between Vietnam and Kuwait; having an open and convenient visa policy; providing information on investment, trade and tourism promotion; and exploiting the Halal market.
The Prime Minister asked people to continue to unite and build a strong and developing community with a high role and position in society; preserve and promote the national cultural identity and Vietnamese language; strive to study, work well, and take advantage of learning to contribute to the country's development.
Associations continue to promote their role in connecting overseas Vietnamese and building a network of Vietnamese businesses in the host country.
