On November 16, the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka (Japan) coordinated with the Association of Vietnamese People in Fukuoka (AVF) to organize the "National Great Unity Day in the Vietnamese community in the Kyushu region - Japan and the Vietnamese Sports Congress in 2025", on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the traditional day of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (November 18, 1930 - November 18, 2025).
This is the first time the National Great Unity Day has been organized in the Vietnamese community abroad to strengthen solidarity, gather and promote the strength of the national great unity bloc in the new period; at the same time, deploy the pilot project "National Great Unity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad".

Here, more than 1,000 Vietnamese families, international students, engineers, businessmen and overseas Vietnamese women living, studying and working in the Kyushu - Okinawa region together created an unprecedented mark.
In her opening speech, Ms. Vu Chi Mai, Consul General of Vietnam in Fukuoka (Japan), said that the organization of the Great Unity Day and the Sports Festival promotes the tradition of great national unity, consolidating the strength of the Vietnamese community in Japan. The festival introduces the image of the country, people and culture of Vietnam to Japanese friends; combines cultural and sports exchanges, spreads identity, contributes to building the Vietnamese community in the Kyushu region to be united, integrated, developed and oriented towards the homeland and country.
"Today's festival is organized in the spirit of Resolution No. 36 and Conclusion No. 12 of the Politburo on work with overseas Vietnamese; at the same time responding to the pilot project of the Great National Unity Festival in the overseas Vietnamese community deployed by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front," said Ms. Vu Chi Mai.

Mr. Nguyen Duy Anh, member of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of the Vietnamese Association in Fukuoka, expressed his emotion when witnessing the unprecedented gathering of the Vietnamese community in the Kyushu region. He said: "The festival is not only to meet and have fun, but also to affirm a sacred thing: although living far from home, each Vietnamese person still carries the blood of Lac Hong, still keeps his heart towards his homeland. The flag we have created today is not only a symbol of Vietnam, it is also a symbol of solidarity, pride, and community strength."
The most touching highlight of the festival was the moment when more than 1,000 Vietnamese people simultaneously entered the formation, forming a red flag with a yellow star consisting of three large groups with 15 blocks representing 15 community components. This is also the 15-year journey of the Vietnamese Consulate General in Japan, together creating the Vietnamese National Flag with hearts beating as one, towards the beloved Vietnamese homeland.

At the event of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Record Association, the representative of the Global Vietnamese Record Organization (VietWorld) awarded the Global Vietnamese Record for "National Great Unity Day in the Vietnamese community abroad in the Kyushu region, Japan".
Also here, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka commended and rewarded groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in community building, strengthening solidarity, developing the association movement and actively contributing to the preservation of Vietnamese culture and language in Japan.
