An Giang implements peak period to ensure traffic order and safety

On November 17, the People's Committee of An Giang province issued an official dispatch on the implementation of the peak period to ensure traffic order and safety in the province.

Accordingly, the People's Committee of An Giang province requested the directors of departments, heads of provincial branches and sectors, relevant agencies and units and chairmen of People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones, according to their assigned functions and tasks, to continue to lead and direct cadres, party members, civil servants, public employees and workers to set an example in complying with traffic laws; to propagate and mobilize relatives and people to voluntarily comply with traffic laws.

In case of traffic violations by officials, party members and relatives, when notified by competent authorities, they shall coordinate and handle them according to the provisions of law; do not interfere with the handling of violations by competent authorities.

An Giang Provincial Police strives to complete and exceed targets for reducing traffic accidents and preventing traffic congestion. Strictly inspect and handle violations that are direct causes of traffic accidents such as violations of alcohol and drug concentrations, speeding; driving in the wrong lane; avoiding, overtaking illegally, going in the wrong direction; carrying bulky goods; towing other vehicles or objects.

The Traffic Police force of Phu Quoc Special Zone Police (An Giang province) launched a campaign to attack and suppress crimes, ensuring security and order for activities celebrating the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution, National Day September 2, 2025 and Party congresses at all levels.

The Department of Construction coordinates with functional agencies and local authorities to promote propaganda, inspection, and handling of violations of laws on road and waterway traffic safety.

People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones shall review "black spots" that pose a risk to traffic safety. Strengthen urban order management, clear traffic safety corridors, and handle cases of encroachment on roads and sidewalks.
