More than 2,600 drivers violated alcohol concentration, mainly men aged 36 - 55

During the alcohol testing campaign on November 15, traffic police nationwide checked more than 90,000 vehicles and detected more than 2,600 drivers violating the law.

On November 16, the Traffic Police Department of the Ministry of Public Security announced that on the afternoon of November 15, traffic police forces nationwide simultaneously launched alcohol concentration checks during two time frames, 12-14:30 and 19:30-23:00, under the orders of the Director of the Traffic Police Department. Despite the rainy weather in many localities, 34/34 provinces and cities still maintained control on traffic routes.

Of the more than 90,000 vehicles checked, police discovered 2,610 violations, including eight trucks, one passenger van, 51 cars, 2,510 motorbikes and 40 rudimentary vehicles.

Data analysis shows that the group of alcohol violations is mainly men aged 36-55 with 1,504 cases, accounting for nearly 58%. The group aged 18-35 recorded 746 cases; people over 55 had 291 cases; 69 people under 18 were also found to have violated. Among them, 18 were female drivers.

According to the Traffic Police Department, nationwide inspections will be carried out regularly, including holidays and Tet, to form the habit of "don't drive after drinking alcohol".
