Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi was appointed Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province.

(Dan Tri) - Delegates of the People's Council of Ca Mau province elected Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, as Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term.

On November 17, the People's Council of Ca Mau province held a thematic meeting to perform tasks within its authority.

At the meeting, the Provincial People's Council delegates elected Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

Previously, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, was assigned by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Speaking on accepting the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province, Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi expressed that this is a great pride and also his responsibility to the Party Committee, government, army and people of Ca Mau province.

"I am deeply aware that today's trust is a requirement and expectation of all delegates and people," Mr. Ngoi shared.

In his new position, the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province promised to focus on making every effort, wholeheartedly and wholeheartedly for the people's lives and the development of the new Ca Mau province.

Mr. Lu Quang Ngoi (53 years old, from Tien Giang province, now Dong Thap province) has a Bachelor's degree in Economic Law, Master's degree in Party Building and State Administration, and Doctorate in Political Science.

Mr. Ngoi has worked for a long time at the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vinh Long province. He was Deputy Director and then Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Vinh Long province.

After that, he worked as Secretary of Tam Binh district (Vinh Long province), Deputy Chief of Office of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman and then Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee.

Since July, Mr. Ngoi has been the Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province (after merging the three provinces of Vinh Long, Tra Vinh and Ben Tre) until being assigned by the Central Government to take on a new assignment.

Also at the meeting, the provincial People's Council delegates unanimously dismissed Mr. Pham Thanh Ngai from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province for the 2021-2026 term, due to being mobilized and appointed by the Central Government as Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.
