Chairman of Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai becomes Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee

The decision was announced by the Central Organizing Committee at the headquarters of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on the afternoon of November 17.

Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ha Tinh province - was mobilized and appointed by the Secretariat to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; at the same time, he was introduced to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Mr. Vo Trong Hai, 57 years old, hometown: Hoa Lac commune, Duc Tho district, Ha Tinh province; now Duc Tho commune, Ha Tinh province.

Mr. Hai graduated: Commanding Officer, Border Guard University; Law University.

Before being assigned to be Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Hai had held the following positions: Commander of Ha Tinh Border Guard, Head of Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee's Internal Affairs Committee, Director of Ha Tinh Provincial Police, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police.

In April 2021, at the 20th session of the 17th People's Council of Ha Tinh province for the 2021-2026 term, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Ha Tinh Provincial Party Committee - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Ha Tinh Provincial People's Committee.

The Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee currently includes Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Khac Than and three Deputy Secretaries: Mr. Vo Trong Hai, Mr. Hoang Nghia Hieu and Ms. Vo Thi Minh Sinh.

Previously, on the morning of November 17, Mr. Le Hong Vinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province - was appointed and mobilized by the Secretariat to participate in the Executive Committee, the Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030; at the same time, he introduced Mr. Le Hong Vinh to be elected as Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

It is expected that on the afternoon of November 18, the People's Council of Nghe An province will hold the 34th session, term XVIII, term 2021-2026, to conduct personnel work and elect the Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province.

Nghe An has an area of 16,490km2 ^and a population of over 3.4 million people.

In the first 9 months of 2025, Nghe An local budget revenue is estimated to reach 20,000 billion VND, equal to 113% of the estimate and an increase of nearly 30% over the same period in 2024.

In the 2025-2030 term, Nghe An aims to become a well-off province in the country, the center of the North Central region in industry, education - training, healthcare and science - technology.

The province strives for an average GRDP growth rate of 9-10% per year, an average income per capita of over 160 million VND, and an urbanization rate of 45%.
