Quang Tri elects key positions in the Provincial People's Committee

On the afternoon of November 17, the People's Council of Quang Tri province, term VIII, 2021-2026, held the 4th session (special session) to carry out the process of electing the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee after implementing the new policy of the Central Government.

The Standing Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee presented flowers to congratulate comrades on their new assignments.

Chairman of the People's Council of Quang Tri province Nguyen Dang Quang said that at this session, implementing the policy of the Secretariat and the Standing Committee of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee on personnel work, the Provincial People's Council carried out the procedure to dismiss the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term and elect the positions of Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

The consolidation of key leadership positions of the Provincial People's Committee aims to ensure stability and unity in leadership, direction and administration, contributing to improving the quality, effectiveness and efficiency of the provincial government apparatus in the new situation.

Specifically, the meeting considered and voted to dismiss comrade Tran Phong (assigned and appointed by the Secretariat to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of Khanh Hoa Provincial Party Committee) from the position of Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term; introduced personnel and voted to elect the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2021-2026 term.

As a result, comrade Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, was elected as Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the votes; comrade Le Van Bao, member of the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee and Chief of the Provincial Party Committee Office, was elected as Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee with 100% of the votes.

New Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh delivered a speech accepting his duties.

In his speech accepting the assignment, the new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Le Hong Vinh, emphasized that in the immediate future, priority will be given to directing the implementation of the completion and surpassing of the socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025; urgently concretizing and comprehensively implementing the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025-2030; continuing to review and perfect the 2-level government model, promoting decentralization and delegation of authority, promoting the role of development creation of grassroots governments associated with streamlining administrative procedures and digital transformation.

The new Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, Le Hong Vinh, said that together with the provincial leaders, the collective of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province will always be united, innovative, creative, and determined in directing and operating, aiming to successfully implement 3 major breakthroughs, contributing to the development of Quang Tri with the whole country.
