Comrade Tran Tri Quang was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province.

Secretary of Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee Tran Van Lau presented flowers to congratulate the new Chairman of Vinh Long Provincial People's Committee Tran Tri Quang.

The result was 127/128 votes in favor (reaching a rate of more than 99%), unanimously electing comrade Tran Tri Quang to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province, term 2021-2026.

Comrade Tran Tri Quang, born in 1977, from Dong Thap province, is a basically trained officer with qualifications of Civil Engineering, Master of Traffic Construction, Master of Economic Management, and Senior Political Theory.

Delegates participated in voting to elect the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province.

He grew up from the grassroots and has worked in many positions in different units: Specialist, Deputy Head of Department, Deputy Director, Director of the Department of Transport of Dong Thap province; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee. From June 2025, after the merger of the province, he held the position of Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province.

Delegates unanimously elected an additional Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province.

On the afternoon of November 17, at the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, Deputy Head of the Central Organizing Committee Nguyen Thanh Tam announced the Decision to transfer and appoint comrade Tran Tri Quang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Thap province to cease participating in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and cease holding the position of Deputy Secretary of the Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term; transfer and appoint to participate in the Executive Committee, Standing Committee and hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Vinh Long Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030.

On the same morning, the Provincial People's Council also dismissed the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Vinh Long province for the 2021-2026 term and dismissed comrade Lu Quang Ngoi from the position of Provincial People's Council delegate (due to job transfer and new assignment).
