The socio-economic development program for ethnic minority and mountainous areas has disbursed more than 219.5 billion VND.

On the morning of November 18, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions of Khanh Hoa organized an assessment of 10 months of implementing the National Target Program on Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas in 2025, and at the same time deployed tasks for the last two months of the year.

According to the report of the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions, in 2025, the program allocated nearly 553 billion VND in capital, and as of October 31, more than 219.5 billion VND had been disbursed (nearly 40% of the plan). The capital focused on investing in developing essential infrastructure, education , health care, and vocational training; supporting residential land for 107 households and housing for 77 households; investing in construction, upgrading, and repairing 5 centralized water works; preserving and promoting the fine traditional cultural values ​​of ethnic minorities associated with tourism development; contracting protection of 47,875 hectares of forest, planting 200 hectares of protective forest... The program's support policy has helped poor and near-poor households stabilize their lives, and the material and spiritual life of ethnic minorities has been constantly improved; Many effective models of support and investment in production development have been deployed and replicated, contributing to increasing income, sustainably reducing poverty, and gradually narrowing the gap in living standards and income of people in ethnic minority and mountainous areas compared to the average of the whole province.

In the coming time, the Department of Ethnic Minorities and Religions requests units to urgently complete the allocation of all capital sources for 2025, promptly disburse in the last months of the year; proactively review and adjust plans according to actual progress; drastically accelerate implementation, strive for a disbursement rate of 100%; strengthen inspection, support localities and clarify individual and collective responsibilities if there are delays. At the same time, continue to train officials, promote propaganda to raise awareness of the program's significance, contribute to socio-economic development and ensure security and order.
