Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province for the new term (2025 - 2030).

On the morning of November 17, the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Quang Tri province, term 2025 - 2030, entered the 2nd session with full rituals according to regulations, taking place at the Provincial Cultural and Cinema Center.

Mr. Hoang Cong Thuy, Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee of Quang Tri province and delegates representing the great national unity bloc attended the Congress.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 16, the first session of the Congress conducted consultations to elect the first term Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, consisting of 95 members. Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, continued to hold the position of Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province. The Vice Chairmen of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province include Mr. Dao Manh Hung, Tran Tien Sy, Tran Ngoc Sam, Nguyen The Lap, Le Cong Cuong, Duong Tan Long and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy, Ms. Le Thi My Hien.

Speaking at the opening of the second working session, Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Quang Tri province, emphasized the role of the Front in consolidating solidarity, promoting people's strength, and at the same time orienting tasks for the new term.

Mr. Nguyen Chien Thang emphasized that the spirit of solidarity is the foundation to open a new development stage for Quang Tri after the reorganization of administrative units and the completion of the Front system.

He affirmed that the Congress has special significance, concretizing the Provincial Party Resolution and demonstrating the aspiration for innovation and joint efforts for the goal of building a rich, beautiful and civilized province. With the motto "Solidarity - Democracy - Innovation - Development", the Front at all levels is expected to operate more professionally and effectively, meeting the development requirements in the new period.

Also at the second session, the Congress will approve the list of delegates attending the National Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, including 16 official delegates and 2 alternate delegates.

The Congress will vote to pass the Resolution for the 2025-2030 term, identifying the goal of continuing to promote the strength of the great national unity bloc, improving the effectiveness of supervision, social criticism and participation in Party and government building.
