The lecture took place from November 3 to November 10 at 3 examination councils: College of Transport, Ho Chi Minh City Vocational College and Ho Chi Minh City College of Culture and Arts.
The mark of technology – AI in teaching
One of the highlights of this year's lecture is the application of information technology and digital transformation in lectures. The two teachers who were honored for the most effective application of information technology and digital transformation are Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam ( Binh Duong College of Economics) and Master Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc (College of Transport).
As a lecturer in industrial and household electricity, Mr. Nguyen Minh Tam said that the application of artificial intelligence (AI) has helped change the way of designing lectures. After only half a year of learning, despite initial difficulties in operations and costs, Mr. Tam has mastered the use of AI to create videos and visual images. "AI helps significantly reduce the time to prepare lesson plans, while providing vivid and updated content, helping learners absorb more easily," Mr. Minh Tam shared.
As the head of the Political and Legal Group, Faculty of General Studies, Master Nguyen Thi Thanh Truc is always concerned with the characteristics of the subject which is considered "dry and boring". In just 4 months of research, Master Truc has built a digital lecture system, integrating AI tools to simulate legal situations, creating illustrative videos, self-assessment questions... to help students proactively study, self-test and evaluate.

Master Truc shared that AI helps save time preparing lectures, but still needs to be carefully edited to suit the learning audience, ensure ethical standards and community regulations. This investment brings clear results when students show more excitement, pay more attention and remember better.
Appreciating the efforts of the teaching staff, Ms. Truong Hai Thanh, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Deputy Head of the Standing Committee of the Teaching Association, affirmed that the application of information technology and AI plays an important role in renewing teaching methods. Technology helps the classroom become more lively, and at the same time helps students access modern equipment and software - necessary conditions for future professional human resources.
However, Ms. Thanh also pointed out the biggest difficulty: teachers' technological capacity is not uniform among units. "The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training will implement a plan for in-depth training and education, especially on AI in the near future. This is a fundamental solution for the entire vocational education system to improve teaching quality and keep up with the national digital transformation trend," Ms. Thanh added.
The career playground is expanded
2025 is the first year after Ho Chi Minh City merged its administrative boundaries, with the participation of vocational training institutions from Binh Duong and Ba Ria - Vung Tau (old), creating the largest scale of the teaching conference ever.

Speaking at the closing ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Hieu, Director of the Department of Education and Training of Ho Chi Minh City, Head of the organizing committee of the teaching conference, emphasized that the significance of the teaching conference goes beyond the scope of a competition. According to him, this is a "professional exchange ground" where teachers can demonstrate, learn and share their experiences. Mr. Hieu said that the consolidation of the boundaries will make Ho Chi Minh City a "super city". This requires the vocational education system to be stronger, more standardized and reach the region faster.
“Vocational education is where very clear ‘products’ are born: people. Human resources must be ready to integrate into production labor immediately, without businesses having to retrain them like before,” Mr. Hieu emphasized.
He also hopes that the results of the conference will be spread throughout the entire system: “The best lectures and best practices must become common reference materials for schools to learn from. How can we approach ASEAN vocational education standards in the shortest time and achieve the goals of Resolution 71 by 2030?”
