Mr. Le Hong Vinh was elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

The People's Council of Quang Tri province has passed a resolution to elect Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province for the 2021-2026 term.

On the afternoon of November 17, the People's Council of Quang Tri province, term VIII, 2021-2026, held the 4th session (Special session on personnel work).

At the meeting, Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, was elected to hold the position of Chairman of Quang Tri Provincial People's Committee.

The People's Council of Quang Tri province has carried out the procedure to dismiss Mr. Tran Phong from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province due to job transfer.

100% of the Provincial People's Council delegates voted unanimously to pass the Resolution to dismiss Mr. Tran Phong from the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

With 76/76 delegates present voting in favor (reaching 100%), the People's Council of Quang Tri province passed the Resolution to elect Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee, to hold the position of Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, term 2021-2026; at the same time passed the Resolution to elect Mr. Le Van Bao to hold the position of Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province, term 2021-2026.

Previously, the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee held a conference to announce the Secretariat's decision on personnel work. The Secretariat decided to transfer and appoint Mr. Le Hong Vinh, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Nghe An province to hold the position of Deputy Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee and introduced him to be elected Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Tri province.

Mr. Le Hong Vinh, born in 1974, hometown Do Luong commune, Nghe An province; political theory level: advanced; professional level: master's degree in Science and Technology Management.

In his speech accepting the assignment, Mr. Le Hong Vinh affirmed that together with the Provincial People's Committee, he will always be united, innovative, creative, highly determined, make great efforts, and be resolute in directing and operating, aiming to successfully implement the 3 major breakthroughs set forth by the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030, creating new momentum to promote the province's socio-economic development rapidly and sustainably.

In the immediate future, Quang Tri province will prioritize focusing on directing the implementation of the completion and exceeding of socio-economic development goals and targets for 2025; urgently concretizing and comprehensively implementing the Resolution of the 1st Party Congress, term 2025-2030; continuing to review and perfect the 2-level local government model, promoting decentralization, delegation of authority, promoting the development-creating role of grassroots governments associated with streamlining administrative procedures and digital transformation.

In addition, taking the satisfaction of people and businesses as a measure for all activities; promoting the green growth model, circular economy, soon building Quang Tri province into a clean energy center, a new tourism-service center of the central region and the whole country, ensuring social security, aiming for people's happiness... to contribute to developing Quang Tri, moving forward with the whole country.

At the meeting, Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Phuong emphasized that Mr. Le Hong Vinh and Mr. Le Van Bao are people who have grown up from the grassroots and have held many positions. They are considered to be capable and experienced cadres in Party building and State management; they are determined to stay close to the grassroots and have the ability to gather and unite agencies and units.

In their positions, they always complete assigned tasks well, making important contributions to the overall achievements and results of the locality, agency and unit.

The Secretary of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee requested that the officials who have just been elected by the Provincial People's Council immediately get to work, uphold the spirit of creative responsibility, coordinate with the Provincial People's Committee and socio-political organizations to create a comprehensive and synchronous strength, and successfully implement the goals of the Quang Tri Provincial Party Congress for the 2025-2030 term./.
