Since I was very young, every night before bedtime, my mother would sit beside me and read me fairy tales. Her warm, gentle voice, like the wind blowing through the leaves, planted in me the first seeds of love for books. When I grew up a little, when I learned to read by myself, I suddenly felt like I was given the key to open thousands of doors. Each book was a journey. Some took me to a magical land, others led me to pages of life that were simple yet profound.
Since then, reading has become a daily habit. It is only 30 minutes, but for me, it is the most beautiful time: quiet, gentle and full of magic. Thanks to the pages of books, I learned to listen, understand, and appreciate every ordinary thing around me, from my mother's smile, the sound of cicadas in the summer to the falling leaves in the school yard.
Perhaps thanks to that sincere love of books, I was fortunate to be honored twice as the Reading Culture Ambassador of Dong Nai province and won the third prize in the national competition. Those awards made me proud, but what made me happiest was the moment a friend said: "Thanks to you, I love reading more!" Just one sentence made my heart light up. It turns out that happiness is not just for keeping to yourself because it is most beautiful when shared.
For me, spreading the love of books is happiness. I like to introduce good books to my classmates, I like to tell stories that move me and I like the feeling when someone smiles while holding a book that I cherish. Every time I do that, I feel like I am sowing a small seed, a seed of knowledge, of kindness and of love.
The contest “Hello Love - Season 5” with the theme of Happiness made me think a lot about the things I have experienced. I suddenly realized that happiness is sometimes not noisy, it is quiet like the page of a book that has just closed but still leaves a warm echo in my heart. And “saying goodbye” to a book that has been read is not the end, but the beginning of a new journey - a new story waiting for me to discover .
My happiness is very simple: growing up in the world of words, sharing what I love and seeing eyes light up when someone starts to love books like me.
I believe that happiness, when told from the heart, will always find its way to touch other hearts. And my small journey with books is the gift I want to bring to this contest: a story of love, of gratitude and of books that have planted in me the belief that good things always start from small things.
