Optimizing the production process

At the wastewater treatment area of Dau Tieng Rubber Company Limited, young engineer Nguyen Van Cuong, born in 1994 and residing in Dau Tieng commune, meticulously checks each technical parameter on the control panel. For Cuong, it's not just a daily job, but also a source of pride to see his innovation in operation, contributing to maintaining a green environment for the factory and his homeland.

In 2016, after graduating from Thu Dau Mot University, Cuong joined Dau Tieng Rubber Company Limited as a technical department employee. From his early days working on the production line, he quickly demonstrated a passion for finding ways to optimize operational processes.

When Dau Tieng Rubber Company Limited launched a campaign for employees to contribute solutions to improve work productivity and protect the environment, Cuong quickly came up with the idea of "Improving the wastewater treatment system at the Ben Suc rubber processing plant, with a capacity of 2,500 /day". After only 8 months of implementation, the plant saved nearly 520 million VND in electricity costs, the equipment lasted longer, and the environment was better controlled. But for Cuong, the greatest value wasn't the amount saved, but proving that innovation can start anywhere, like at the wastewater treatment plant of a rubber factory.

To date, the young engineer has had seven technical innovations recognized, but he still considers the project "Improving the wastewater treatment system of the Ben Suc Rubber Processing Plant, with a capacity of 2,500 m³ / day" as a special milestone, because it not only benefits the company but also contributes to the sustainable development goals that the city is aiming for. The "National Outstanding Innovation Award 2024" was given to Cuong's team as a way of recognizing the youthful courage to think and act.

“Working in a city that is constantly evolving and innovating like Ho Chi Minh City makes me feel a strong sense of responsibility as a young person. More importantly, I want to spread the spirit of creativity and dedication of youth to more people, so that together we can build a dynamic, innovative Ho Chi Minh City that is firmly stepping into the future,” Cuong shared.

Bringing technology back to the countryside.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City, where many young people are eagerly seeking new opportunities, Tran Tai chose a different path, returning to his hometown of Kim Long commune (Ho Chi Minh City) with a master's degree in Biotechnology and a burning desire to develop high-tech agriculture .

In the middle of a workshop spanning over 1,300 square meters , trays of Cordyceps mushrooms are neatly arranged, shimmering golden under the lights. A man meticulously checks each tray, measuring temperature and humidity; every small detail is carefully considered. This is the "mushroom kingdom" of Tran Tai, Director of Vietnam Biological Mushroom Company Limited (Vinabiomush). He smiles as he recounts the turning point in 2018, a time when most of his friends stayed in the city to start their careers, while he wanted to see "what his hometown could achieve with technology?". And so, Vinabiomush was born, beginning a journey to bring technology back to his homeland a year later.

That seemingly risky decision opened a new path: expanding production, moving towards automation, and applying biotechnology to every stage of mushroom cultivation. In a place where agriculture is still closely tied to "hereditary experience" and manual labor, his enclosed mushroom farm, with its disinfection system and temperature and humidity sensors, has aroused curiosity and admiration from many. "Everyone says I'm reckless, but I see many things in my hometown that no one else has done. If I understand technology, why not bring it back home?" Tài shared.

For him, entrepreneurship is not just about doing business, but also about transforming the face of rural areas. Besides production, Mr. Tài and the young people in the Youth Entrepreneurship Club regularly organize sharing sessions and guide many young people in accessing agricultural technology. “As a young person working in the field of agricultural science and technology, I clearly see my responsibility. Besides developing my business, I want to contribute a small part to building Ho Chi Minh City into a civilized, modern, and sustainably developed city,” he said.

Youth worker leader for the community

Mr. Pham Tran Hoang Van, a member of the Executive Committee of the Saigon Water Supply Corporation's Youth Union and Deputy Secretary of the Phu Hoa Tan Water Supply Joint Stock Company's Youth Union, is also tirelessly working with colleagues to find ways to "digitize" the management process so that every drop of water is used more efficiently.

Recognizing that the manual management of water meter size changes lacked synchronization, Mr. Van and his group of young colleagues at the company researched and developed an electronic management system. This system digitizes all records, updates progress, automatically compiles statistics, and proposes appropriate meter size adjustments. The new application not only reduces errors and shortens processing time but also saves costs, minimizes invisible water loss, and contributes to protecting valuable resources. "The award is just motivation for me to continue maintaining my pioneering, creative spirit, daring to think and act, true to the image of a young worker in the digital transformation era," Mr. Van shared.

Amidst the hustle and bustle of modern urban life, young people like Mr. Van are quietly igniting the flame of creativity through their daily work, contributing to the modernization of administration, promoting digital transformation in businesses, and spreading a spirit of dedication to the community. When youthful energy is unleashed and creativity is spread, resolutions are no longer just words on paper, but become concrete actions in every initiative, every project, every hour of diligent work by today's young generation. It is from these simple actions that the flow of resolutions is being strongly activated, contributing to a new face for a dynamic, creative, and sustainably developing Ho Chi Minh City.
