Seriously implement the regulation of reserving 20% ​​of land fund for social housing

(DN) - Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee has just issued a document directing departments, branches, sectors and People's Committees of communes and wards to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement Government regulations on social housing development.

Along with that, strengthen propaganda and dissemination to investors, organizations and individuals involved in the implementation of the obligation to pay money in lieu of 20% of land fund for building social housing in commercial housing projects.

The Department of Construction shall preside over and coordinate with the Department of Finance, the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the People's Committees of localities and relevant units to monitor and urge the progress of social housing projects, ensuring the completion of the targets assigned by the Prime Minister in 2025 and the following years. At the same time, the Department of Construction shall study and advise the Provincial People's Committee on the list of commercial housing projects eligible to perform the obligation to pay in lieu, and submit it to the Provincial People's Committee before November 29, 2025.

There are many commercial real estate projects in the province that are being implemented or about to be implemented. According to the new regulations, investors are allowed to pay money equivalent to the value of 20% of the land fund reserved for social housing development in the project. In case of late payment, investors must pay late payment fees according to the provisions of the law on tax administration.
