Implementation time is from 2:00 p.m. today, November 19. At that time, the amount of water discharged through the spillway will be adjusted from 480 m3 /s to 640 m3 /s, the total amount of water discharged downstream will be the highest at 1,240 m3 /s.

Then, depending on the weather, water flow to the lake and water level of Tri An Hydropower Lake, water level downstream of the river, the company can regulate the water flow through the spillway.

The company informs local authorities at all levels to direct, coordinate and inform people downstream of the reservoir to proactively take measures to prevent and combat possible flooding.

Also according to information from the company, at 9am this morning, November 19, the upstream water level of the lake was 61.7m, 0.3m from the safety threshold of the reservoir. Therefore, to ensure the safety of the hydroelectric reservoir and the downstream area, the company must increase the amount of water released.
