The project is part of the North-South Eastern Expressway, connecting Quang Ngai and Gia Lai provinces, with a total investment of about VND 20,400 billion, starting construction on January 1, 2023 and expected to be completed by the end of 2025, and put into general operation in 2026.
Up to now, the main route's surface only has about 4/83.5 km of asphalt concrete layer left. All 77 bridges on the main route have completed railings and asphalt pavement, and a few bridges are completing expansion joints.
For the 3 tunnels project with a total length of 4.5 km, tunnels 1 and 2 have been completed. As for tunnel 3, the contractor is focusing on constructing the concrete lining, road surface and installing equipment. According to the plan, tunnel 3 is expected to be completed by the end of 2025, nearly 9 months ahead of the signed contract.
