With the policy of improving the quality of urban areas and existing residential areas, associated with public spaces, immediately after being popularized by Dong Mai ward and residential areas, households actively donated land and architectural structures to create clean land to serve urban beautification work in the ward.

Mac Dang Dung Street (lane 342, Km11 neighborhood, Dong Mai ward) is more than 200m long, the narrow road makes it difficult for people to travel and trade. Immediately after Dong Mai ward reviewed the current status and announced the upgrading and expansion of this street, 15 households in lane 342 agreed and volunteered to dismantle 200m of fence, donate 180m2 of land, along with many architectural objects and trees to create a clean surface for construction. It is expected that after upgrading, this street will be widened from 2.5m to 3.5m.
On the day the neighborhood began dismantling and creating a construction site, Ms. Nguyen Thuy Cai's family (house number 17, Mac Dang Dung street, Km11 neighborhood) donated 20 square meters of land to carry out the road expansion. Ms. Cai shared: "If everyone agrees for the common good, the state invests resources and the people join hands, the road expansion will be implemented quickly. The main benefit is that the people will enjoy it and the urban landscape will become more spacious and airy."

Busily directing the scene and coordinating with forces in the work of dismantling works and architectural objects, Mr. Truong Van Huyen, Party Cell Secretary, Head of Km11 Ward, said: "To gain the active consensus of the people, the Ward Party Cell previously issued a resolution directing the Ward and the Front Working Committee to mobilize people to donate land on Mac Dang Dung Street with a total length of over 200m. Along with that, the people supported more than 60 million VND for the locality to rebuild walls and gates for households donating land and mobilized nearly 100 working days to build the project."
Project to upgrade Mac Dang Dung street in Km11 neighborhood is one of 11 projects that Dong Mai ward has allocated resources to focus on construction and expansion in the fourth quarter of 2025. To ensure the progress of construction of urban upgrading and beautification projects, associated with public spaces, Dong Mai Ward People's Committee has mobilized diverse resources, promoted the role of people as masters and promoted propaganda work with the motto "State and people work together", combining resources from the budget and mobilizing people in donating land, dismantling and moving fences to expand roads, build drainage systems, trees and lighting.

Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the People's Committee of Dong Mai Ward, Vu Ngoc Hung, said: "The ward has 11 urban upgrading and beautification projects to be implemented in 2025. Wherever the project is implemented, people donate land, remove fences, and the government and organizations support and participate in widening the road to ensure it is 3.5m or wider so that people can travel more conveniently and safely. Currently, the ward focuses on implementing 4 routes, each route is over 500m long, and households living on both sides of the road are working hard to coordinate, each family has donated 30m2 of land or more...

With the high determination of the local Party Committee and government, the consensus and active participation of the people in the province's policy, Dong Mai ward is determined to speed up the construction and renovation progress to improve the quality of existing urban areas and residential areas, associated with public spaces in the area, while ensuring the completion of the plan to disburse public investment capital in 2025.
