At Ho Chi Minh Square, in a solemn and emotional atmosphere, General Secretary To Lam and the delegation respectfully offered flowers and incense in memory, expressing their infinite gratitude for the great contributions of President Ho Chi Minh and the heroic martyrs who heroically sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland and for the happiness of the people.
Located in Ho Chi Minh Square, the statue of President Ho Chi Minh is 20.7m high, made of copper alloy, 18m high, the statue base is made of copper alloy, 0.3m high, the pedestal is made of natural stone, 2.4m high. The statue of Uncle Ho places his right hand on his left chest, symbolizing the meaning "The South is in my heart".
Behind the President Ho Chi Minh Monument is a series of reliefs consisting of 484 stone panels. The relief has 2 sides. The front side is an image of famous landscapes and landmarks from the 17th parallel south, associated with Uncle Ho's life and activities. The back side is a famous landscape and landmarks, affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over the sea and islands from Sa Vi cape (Quang Ninh) to Tho Chau island, Phu Quoc special zone.


Phu Quoc Martyrs Temple is a cultural and historical work, a symbol to commemorate and express the deep gratitude of our Party, State and People; is a recognition and honor of the steadfast, indomitable spirit, the selfless sacrifice of the heroic martyrs in the struggle for national liberation, building and defending the Fatherland; at the same time, strengthening the education of revolutionary traditions for today's and future generations.
Phu Quoc Martyrs' Cemetery was built in late 1983, completed and put into use in 1985, with a total area of 34,070 m2, including a traditional house, a house to welcome martyrs' relatives, a parking lot... The burial area includes 8 sub-areas, an area of 25,695 m2, with nearly 3,300 martyrs' graves.
